Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Assisted Technologies Policy

The editorial board recognizes the potential value of generative artificial intelligence (AI) as a supportive tool; however, its use in manuscript preparation must be transparent, responsible, and ethically compliant.

Authors may use generative AI technologies only as an auxiliary tool. The use of AI must not:

  • replace the author’s original scientific contribution;
  • interpret research findings or generate conclusions;
  • produce scientific text presented as the author’s own work, either fully or in part.

The use of AI is permitted for:

  • language editing and stylistic improvement of the manuscript;
  • technical assistance (e.g., structuring content, summarizing drafts, preparing references);
  • grammar and consistency checks.

All uses of AI must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript, for example in the “Acknowledgements” or “Materials and Methods” section.

Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of their work, including any content generated with the assistance of AI. Authors must ensure that:

  • AI tools do not generate fabricated data, references, or misleading statements;
  • all claims are verified and supported by reliable sources;
  • the use of AI does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

The editorial office may use AI tools for technical purposes such as similarity checks, preliminary language editing, and manuscript classification. However, peer review and editorial decision-making are carried out exclusively by humans.

The journal does not accept manuscripts that are fully or substantially generated by AI, nor manuscripts that list AI tools as authors or co-authors.

Manuscripts that conceal the use of generative AI or contain unethical or misleading content may be rejected at any stage of the editorial process.
