Professional training and further professional development of specialists in the field of civil protection is the basis for the formation and development of negative symptoms that result in the formation of burnout syndrome. This confirms the relevance of studying the occurrence of its elements in cadets of higher education institutions with special learning conditions.

The educational activity of cadets at the educational institutions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine takes place under the conditions of maximum mobilization of intellectual, physical and psycho-emotional resources to solve professional educational tasks.

According to the results of the study of the manifestation of the primary elements of professional burnout in the studied cadets of the junior and senior years of the National Technical University of Ukraine using J. Greenberg’s methodology of «Burnout Syndrome Study» and J. Gibson’s methodology of «Evaluation of One's Own Burnout Potential», we have found that senior cadets tend to experience chronic fatigue, the feeling of emotional and physical exhaustion, reduced receptivity and reactivity to the changes in the external environment, indifference, passivity or increased irritability, feelings of guilt, insecurity, resentment, suspicion, as well as loss of a sense of humor, pessimism, indifference to work results, despair, distancing from others etc. That is, according to the results of the comparative analysis of the primary data using the selected methods, it has been found out that they have a tendency to develop a certain deformation of relations with other people. In addition, it should be assumed that there are no differences in confidence regarding one's ability to feel satisfied with one's personality and work among the subjects of both research groups.

With regard to emotional exhaustion as an indicator of professional burnout, it should be emphasized that the average level of development of this component has been found in senior year cadets, which may indicate the presence of a tendency to develop symptoms of emotional, intellectual and physical exhaustion in them, as well as the decrease in satisfaction with the educational activity performed.

The results of the study allow us to state that in the process of professional formation of cadets during training, the formation of the initial elements of professional burnout has been noted, which can be caused by certain factors of educational and professional activity, which requires a more detailed and in-depth study.
