Analysis of the foundations of the formation and development of rehabilitation processes proved that disability is a global social issue that requires constant attention from every country, state institutions, scientists, psychologists, teachers and specialists in the field of physical culture and sports. This is especially relevant for our country with its rapid increase in the number of disabled people in times of war, both soldiers and civilian.
Rehabilitation is shown as a process aimed at achieving and maintaining optimal physical, sensory, intellectual, mental and social levels of activity of persons with disabilities, which contributes to their greater independence.
The work does not deny the importance and responsibility of medical rehabilitation as the main component of the overall recovery process. But on the other hand, the importance of professional rehabilitation is raised, which involves restoring professional skills or learning new ones that correspond to the functional capabilities of a person, inclinations to physical, mental, and mental capabilities, which contributes to the mastery of labor skills, adaptation to labor activities, in particular through the creation of special or adapted workplaces.
Physical rehabilitation, as a tangent to professional rehabilitation, is presented through the use of physical exercises and natural factors for the purpose of treatment and prevention in restoring the health, physical condition and working capacity of patients. The main methods of physical rehabilitation are shown: therapeutic exercises, massage, natural factors (hygienic), mechanotherapy, occupational therapy, as well as psychotherapy in the work team. This aspect also includes social rehabilitation aimed at returning a person to maximally active participation in the life and activities of society, the collective and integration into various spheres of social life.
