About the Journal
Disaster and Crisis Psychology Problems is a peer-reviewed scientific journal founded in 2007 and published by the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine.
From 2007 to 2020, the publication was issued as a collection of scientific papers. In 2021, it was re-registered in an updated format as a scientific journal under the title “Disaster and Crisis Psychology Problems”.
The journal is devoted to the publication of original scholarly research in psychology, with a particular focus on human functioning under conditions of risk, stress, emergencies, disasters, war, and other crisis situations.
Aims and Scope
The journal publishes original empirical and theoretical studies in the field of psychology, with particular attention to extreme, crisis, military, rehabilitation, and applied psychology.
Main thematic areas include:
- extreme psychology;
- crisis psychology;
- psychological rehabilitation;
- psychological correction and intervention;
- mental health and resilience under emergency conditions;
- psychological support for civil protection and security personnel.
Journal Status and Recognition
The journal is included in the List of Professional Scientific Publications of Ukraine and assigned Category B in the specialty 053 – Psychology (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 530 dated June 6, 2022).
The publication operates in accordance with the principles of academic integrity, publication ethics, editorial transparency, and open scientific communication.
Editorial Standards
All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening, plagiarism assessment, and double-blind peer review.
The journal applies policies on publication ethics, open access, complaints handling, retractions, copyright and licensing, confidentiality, and the use of artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing.
Each published article is assigned a DOI and accompanied by the metadata required for scholarly communication, citation, discoverability, and indexing.
