Research into the specifics of the formation and development of the phenomena of professional deformation and destruction in personnel of the security and defense sector of Ukraine is gaining particular relevance today, which is determined by the increasing influence of professional stress factors in war conditions, which cause corresponding psychological changes and deformations of the personality, and professional activity.

Today, domestic and foreign researchers consider the phenomena of professional deformation and destruction within the framework of certain theoretical, methodological and experimental approaches that have developed over recent years and formed the theoretical and practical basis for studying these phenomena, taking into account modern scientific views on their essential features, connections, processes of formation, development, etc.

All that has been reflected in the works of domestic scientists, who highlight the main theoretical and experimental positions that are fundamental for the systematization, study, and adaptation of modern approaches and methods in the study of these phenomena.

The conducted research allowed us to make certain theoretical and methodological generalizations regarding the directions and features of domestic scientific research in the field of psychology of activity in special conditions regarding the essence and relationship between the phenomena of professional deformation, professional destruction, professional addictions, destructive behavior, etc. in personnel of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, which can be a basis for continuing scientific and practical work to establish more specific psychological indicators and characteristics of this relationship using traditional and innovative approaches and methods.

The suggested research is not exhaustive on the specified topic and requires further clarification. In particular, further development of theoretical and experimental models of the specified phenomena with their recognition as a scientific problem, study of differences and features of the phase development of professional deformations of the personality and professional deformations of activity needs to be highlighted.
