The article presents the results of an empirical study of situational and demographic determinants of post-traumatic growth of ATO participants. The group of situational and demographic determinants included: age characteristics of ATO participants; belonging of anti-terrorist operation participants to different groups by military rank (officers, sergeants, soldiers); intensity of combat experience of anti-terrorist operation participants. The sample consisted of 297 servicemen - members of the ATO (278 males and 19 females) in the age range from 19 to 54 years. The following tools were used to assess post-traumatic growth: «Changesin Outlook Questionnaire»and «PosttraumaticGrowthInventory». To assess the intensity of combat experience, the «CombatExposureScale» was used.

The results of the empirical study made it possible to establish the dependence of post-traumatic growth on the age characteristics of servicemen and the intensity of combat experience. Thus, there was a statistically significant negative correlation between the average value of the method PTGI and the age of servicemen (r = -0.14; p <0.020). The correlation between the mean value of the CiOQand age showed a similar trend, but did not reach statistical significance (r = –0.13; p = 0.095). There was also a statistically significant positive correlation between the mean value of the PTGIand the mean value of the CES (r = 0.15; p <0.022). There were no differences in the severity of post-traumatic growth depending on the affiliation of individuals to soldiers, sergeants or officers. These data can be compared with data from other foreign studies.
