The article presents a theoretical and empirical analysis of tolerance for uncertainty and the psychological well-being of youth. Contemporary scientific approaches to understanding the phenomena of tolerance/intolerance for uncertainty and psychological well-being are analyzed, and their interrelation is outlined. The empirical study was conducted among university students (n = 200) using the IUS-12 questionnaire (Carleton RN, adapted by H. Hromova, 2022) and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (adapted by Garcia D. et al., 2023). The results revealed inverse correlations between intolerance for uncertainty and indicators of psychological well-being (self-acceptance and personal growth). It was found that higher levels of anxiety and intolerance for uncertainty are associated with lower levels of positive self-attitude and hindered personal development. The study emphasizes the role of tolerance for uncertainty as a resource for psychological adaptation, flexibility, and stress resilience of young people in wartime conditions.
