In extreme conditions of professional activity of employees of the State Emergency Service, which is associated with a high level of stress, risks, emotional stress, and mental health losses, it is the hardiness of the individual that acts as a key psychological resource that allows one to effectively cope with difficulties, maintain psychological well-being and professional efficiency.
Foreign and domestic scientists consider the phenomenon of resilience as a personal characteristic that provides an individual with the ability to resist the effects of stress factors and prevent subsequent manifestations of symptoms of psychological maladjustment from the perspective of various theoretical concepts. This clarifies the concept of professional resilience, which we should consider as a complex professionally important property that gives the professional the ability to withstand extreme situations at work, maintain professional reliability and efficiency, prevent the emergence and development of professional maladjustment, health disorders, and contributes to his personal and professional growth. At the same time, the modern psychological features of the professional hardiness of firefighters and rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine under the conditions of martial law are not only determined by the influence of adverse factors of the professional environment, but also depend on the distance of the place of performance of assigned tasks from the zone of active hostilities.
The results of an experimental study using the Questionnaire of Professional Hardiness of the Personality (O. Kokun) has shown statistically significant differences in the hardiness of employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with different areas of departure (depending on the proximity to the zone of active hostilities) on the scales "Professional inclusion", "Motivational component of professional hardiness" and "Social component of professional hardiness". The indicators obtained according to the criteria of the questionnaire scales and their differences can serve as a basis for the development of appropriate psychological recovery and rehabilitation programs.
Regardless of proximity to the zone of active hostilities, all firefighters and rescuers are subject to significant psychological stress, which reduces the level of their professional hardiness, therefore, this requires creating separate psychological trainings as components of differentiated programs of psychological recovery and psychological rehabilitation, which are based on the prevention of loss and increase in the professional hardiness of the individual.
The proposed study is not comprehensive on the specified topic, in particular, theoretical and experimental models of psychological recovery programs, psychological rehabilitation, which are aimed at increasing the level of professional hardiness of the individual of the State Emergency Service etc., require further development.
