The large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the hostilities that have been taking place for the past eight years have a negative impact on the physical and mental health of the combatants. Under these conditions, the psyche of military personnel functions at the limit of their own mental capabilities, and prolonged participation in hostilities can cause the development of post-traumatic stress disorders. Therefore, timely developed and practically implemented programs for the prevention and control of combat stress, and psychological rehabilitation of servicemen after participating in combat operations will allow to significantly reduce psychogenic injuries and prevent the occurrence of mental disorders in combatants.
The analysis, comparison, generalization, systematization and interpretation of the obtained data made it possible to determine indications and contraindications for the psychological rehabilitation of servicemen after completing tasks in combat conditions, as well as to develop, scientifically substantiate and practically test the program of psychological rehabilitation of combatants, the basis of which is psychological training for the restoration of psychological safety personalities of military personnel. A total of 70 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine from all regions of Ukraine took part in the psychological rehabilitation program, the practical implementation and testing of the program took place in 2017. To determine the effectiveness of the psychological rehabilitation program at the beginning and at the end, the psychodiagnostic technique "Diagnostics of the psychological safety personality" (I. Prykhodko) was used, as well as at the end of the psychological training, the "Questionnaire for evaluating the effectiveness of the program measures". The practical implementation of the program of psychological rehabilitation of combatants proved its effectiveness: the results of the dynamics of the psychological safety components of the individual increased by 16% on average.
As a result of the psychological rehabilitation program of combatants, the mental condition of servicemen improved, the psychological resources of the individual were restored and mental disorders was prevented.
