Keywords: loneliness, levels of loneliness, well-being, mood, activity, young women.
The article is dedicated to the theoretical analysis and empirical study of the peculiarities of loneliness among women during their youth in conditions of war. To address this issue, the understanding of loneliness as a social and psychological phenomenon in domestic and foreign literature is presented, and the psychological characteristics of the youth period are defined. Theoretically, it is argued that loneliness is a complex phenomenon that is experienced by most people of different ages, but young women are the most vulnerable.
The most significant empirical results of psychodiagnostic methods obtained through online testing are presented, which demonstrate the difference in subjective feeling of loneliness depending on the severity of its experience. A comparative analysis of two groups with average and high levels of loneliness using methods of mathematical statistics was conducted. In the group of young women with an average level of loneliness, the indicators for "well-being," "activity," and "mood" are significantly higher than in young women with a high level of loneliness. The relationship between the degree of loneliness experience and functional states (well-being, activity, mood) is analyzed based on correlation analysis of the statistical package "SPSS." Young women who feel loneliness at an average level continue to carry out their professional activities, try to be active, able to experience different emotions, and maintain their quality of life in conditions of war.
Young women with a high level of loneliness have a depressed state of general well-being, a bad mood, and a lack of activity, which worsens the quality of their life. Such a state, influenced by internal and external factors, is intensified by distancing from the surrounding people, which affects the untimeliness of providing assistance.
